When thinking about this film, several words come to mind: cliched, contrived, and confusing, to namWhenthinkingaboutthisfilm,severalwordscometomind:cliched,contrived,andconfusing,tonameafew.Inmostsuspensethrillers,theaudiencefindsitselfyellingoutadvicetothemaincharacters,suchas"don'tgointothebasement-thebadguyisthere"or"saveyourself!don'tgobackforyourcat!"Ineverdidthatwiththisone.Itwasn'tbecausethedecisionsthisvictimmakesareanysmarterthananyothersuspensethrillervictim,itwasmorethatIjustreallydidn'tcarewhathappenedtoher.Icouldn'tfeelanysympathyforherbecauseshewassotwo-dimensional. Thenlet'sconsiderthestalker.Heissupposedtomaketheviewerfeelcreepyjustbybeingonscreen.HeisdefinitelynoAnthonyHopkinsorJackNicholson.Frankly,I'veseenepisodesof"MisterRogers'Neighborhood"thatwerecreepier.I'mtiredofactorswhothinkitiseasytoplayapsychopath.
